Direct Calls: pay only when a real customer calls
Direct Calls is FixProsList's pay-per-call program for home-service pros. Your listing is free forever. We put our own tracked phone number on it, calls ring straight to your phone, and you pay one flat rate only for qualified calls — deducted from a small prepaid balance. No contract, no monthly fee, no membership. If the calls don't come, you pay nothing.
These rules are the whole agreement in plain English. They are shown to every partner before the first balance load, and no charge can ever fall outside them.
How it works
- 1. Create your free account and submit your business listing — it takes a few minutes, with a simple email code (no password).
- 2. We review and attach your call number. We check your listing by hand, approve it, and place your tracked FixProsList number on it. The listing goes live on fixproslist.com.
- 3. Load your starting balance ($100) and your number activates. Calls ring your own phone — you answer and book the job like any other call.
- 4. Pay only for qualified calls. Each qualified call deducts your trade's flat rate from your balance. Every call, its length and its recording appear in your Partner Dashboard.

Our calls are exclusive: a caller rings your listing's number and reaches only you — the same lead is never sold to other pros. Founding partners lock the launch rate for as long as they stay active; the standard rate applies to partners who join later.

Rates are flat nationwide at launch. We may adjust the standard rate card for future partners, but a locked launch rate never changes for a founding partner who stays active.
What counts as a billable call
A call is charged only if all four are true:
- Long enough: the call lasts at least your trade's minimum (90 seconds for most trades, 60 seconds for appliance repair), counted from when you — or your voicemail or answering service — pick up.
- New customer: the caller is not an existing customer calling back about a job already in progress.
- In your service area: the job is inside the ZIP codes or radius you chose on your listing.
- Real service intent: a homeowner or property manager asking about a real job in your trade — a quote, a repair, a booking.
Never charged, ever
- Spam, robocalls, telemarketers and bots
- Wrong numbers and misdials
- Job seekers, sales calls, and other contractors fishing
- Duplicate calls from the same person about the same job within 7 days
- Calls under the minimum length, hang-ups, and unanswered calls
The recording is the proof. Every call is recorded, and the recording plus the call log are the only evidence used in any billing question. If you dispute a charge, we play the recording together; if the call doesn't meet the rules above, the charge is reversed — no forms, no fight.
Prepaid balance rules
- Start with $100. No setup fee, no membership, no monthly bill. Your tracked number is assigned when your first balance is loaded.
- Automatic deduction: each qualified call deducts your flat rate. Every deduction shows in your dashboard with the date, time, duration — and the recording.
- Low-balance warning: when your balance drops below $25, we warn you in your dashboard (and by email) so a reload never surprises you.
- Empty balance = calls pause. If your balance can't cover another call, your call number pauses. Your listing itself stays live and free. Reload any time to resume. We never run a negative balance and never bill you after the fact.
- Your money stays yours: leave any time and any unused balance is refunded to the original payment method. No cancellation fee, no notice period.
Call recording notice
Every call to a FixProsList tracked number opens with a short recorded announcement: "This call may be recorded for quality and billing verification." The recording protects you as much as it protects us — it is the shared, checkable record of what was actually said, and it is how billing disputes are settled fairly.
No contracts. No monthly fees. No surprises.
